“The Xfinity Large Button Voice Remote is designed to deliver uncompromising accessibility,” the Red Dot jury said. “The concept has been well thought out, from the hardware all the way through to the user experience and packaging.”
The device is designed for people whose vision or mobility is impaired, or who have limited use of their hands. It features backlit buttons, color contrasts and an enlarged font. The packaging integrates tactile features, such as Braille, and, when opened, turns into an audio guide that plays step-by-step instructions.
